【Public Notice of Regulations】MOE Elite Study Program – Call for Applications


1. The Ministry of Education (MOE) has promulgated the “Directions for Subsidizing Universities to Implement the New Southbound Elite Study Program.”
The purpose of this program is to attract outstanding lecturers or above from universities in Southeast Asian and South Asian countries to pursue master’s or doctoral degrees in Taiwan (with priority given to doctoral programs), and to encourage them to promote studying in Taiwan after returning to their home countries.

3. This program is only applicable to students admitted in the Fall semester.
If any department or faculty member is aware of qualified candidates who are interested in applying to NKUST, please assist them in preparing the latest English version of their lecturer certification and completing the admission application before 6:00 PM on April 30 via the following website:

All application documents will be compiled by the Office of International Affairs and submitted to the Ministry of Education for review and approval.

4. In addition, the Office of International Affairs will collect a preliminary list of potential scholarship recipients for the following academic year every November. If there are qualified candidates, please provide the relevant information for further processing.
